Quick and easy assembly of lift columns without the need for tools

The requirement was to develop a click system that allows for easy and tool-free assembly of the columns in the table top frame. With this assembly concept, office furniture manufacturers can save time with on-site assembly and reduce logistics costs.

Because it sounded more like a snap than a click, the click system was quickly named SnapX. The way it works is very simple: SnapX is a type of flat attachment at the top of the column. You take the column, hook it onto the spindle inside the table top frame and tilt the column until it snaps into place with a click; the column is fixed firmly in the correct position without any backlash. If the column needs to be replaced, it can be removed using the same method in reverse, without the need for tools.

This solution that allows simple, fast and tool-free assembly of lift columns on-site creates enormous added value for our customers. This is because workstation equipment is usually ordered on a large scale, where shorter assembly times lead to significant savings. This is where the new time-saving assembly concept from SnapX comes in. The office furniture manufacturer can pre-assemble the desk tops in its factory and then load them in space-saving stacks and transport them to the final destination with the columns, which are stored separately in mesh containers. This results in a significant reduction in volume and is where the significant benefit for our customers lies.
